2.3 QuickBooks data
When you connect your QuickBooks Online account, Figurenote accesses your Profit and Loss report data via OAuth. We access this data in real time to generate email drafts. We do not permanently store your QuickBooks financial data — it is processed and discarded after the email draft is generated.

We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Figurenote service
- Send you service updates and waitlist notifications
- Respond to your inquiries and support requests
- Improve and personalise our service
- Comply with legal obligations
4. QuickBooks OAuth Data Handling
Figurenote connects to QuickBooks Online using OAuth 2.0, the same authentication standard used by banks and major financial services. Key points:
- We never see or store your QuickBooks username or password
- We request read-only access — we cannot modify your books
- Financial report data is processed in memory and not stored permanently
- You can revoke our access at any time via your Intuit account settings
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Resend — used to send transactional emails (waitlist confirmations, contact form responses). Resend may store email logs subject to their privacy policy.
- Google Sheets — used to store waitlist email addresses via the Google Sheets API. Data is stored in a private Google Sheet accessible only to Figurenote team members.
- Vercel — our hosting provider. Vercel may collect usage and performance data subject to their privacy policy.
- Anthropic (Claude AI)— used to generate email drafts from P&L data. Data sent to Claude AI is subject to Anthropic's privacy and data use policies.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your email address on our waitlist until you request removal. To be removed from the waitlist or to request deletion of any data we hold about you, please email privacy@figurenote.com. We will process your request within 30 days.
7. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
